Finding your personal style is helpful because it gives you a framework. It helps you keep your wardrobe cohesive. It keeps you from buying clothes that you may think are beautiful, but don’t suit your personality or lifestyle. It could also be that they don’t go with anything else in your wardrobe. That would create “the need” for a new handbag, a new pair of shoes and new accessories. If you have the budget and the space, feel free to shop until you drop. However, if you want to keep things simple, you should try finding your personal style, preferably the style that most resonates with you and your current lifestyle so you can make your purchases with that style framework in mind. This will keep you from shopping for clothes that just sit in your closet with the tags on for years to come. It doesn’t mean you have to stick to the same style all the time, but you’ll have a clearer idea of how to add to your wardrobe once you find your personal style.
